Bon Bon A681611. When Bon Bon was surrendered to Ventura County Animal Services, her owners mentioned they had taken her to a vet and it would be too expensive to treat her. It turned out Bon Bon was a healthy girl if a bit overweight. Now that she is spayed and has enjoyed a healthy diet and loving foster care, Bon Bon has become a very adoptable rabbit who enjoys free play and relaxing on the couch with people. To meet Bon Bon and learn all about the care and feeding of indoor house rabbits, please visit Ventura County Animal Services at 600 Aviation Drive in Camarillo and ask for ID #A681611. Meet Harry Pawter, ID #A645235. Harry is a beautiful brown tabby with gorgeous golden eyes. He is only a year old so don’t wait. He is one of the lucky kitties in foster care. Please contact our foster coordinator to meet him

Adoptable Max came to Ventura County Animal Services with a somewhat homely coat and other signs of being a stray. During the Thomas Fire, Max was one of several VCAS bunnies who went into foster care to allow room at the shelter for safe haven rabbits whose homes were threatened by the fire. Max has thrived in his foster home. His foster family says he has the personality of a dog and is very tidy with his litter box. He loves ear massages and leans into his human caretakers like a dog when they scratch his sides. He even sits up and begs for treats. To inquire about adopting Max, click here now and search for ID #A674935. For details about offsite rabbit adoptions, bunny nail trims, compatibility dates, and adoption counseling hours, please visit

Jasmine was originally adopted from VCAS in 2010 but has come back to us as a stray. Previous notes on her indicate that she is a sweetheart of a lap dog that wiggles and gives kisses. She previously lived with other dogs and kids. We don’t know how she ended up abandoned, but this girl is in dire need of a foster or adopter to provide her comfort for the time she has left. Jasmine has cancer and deserves to spend her golden time in a soft loving home. Contact our foster coordinator if you are interested in providing hospice care for her!

Do you believe that a 4 leaf clover, a horse shoe or rabbit foot will bring good fortune? Well, Lucky can be your good luck charm. No dog will work harder to be your BFF. Friendly Lucky is very loyal and devoted to the ones he loves. And, did we mention how awesomely fun he too? He plays fetch with balls and Frisbees, makes a great hiking/jogging partner and delights in frolicking in a small pool. This dashing, dapper dog is one smart cookie whose skill set includes knowing the commands “sit,” “stay,” “down, “come,” “heel”, “shake,”, “leave it,” and “high five.” He’s also good with cats and housebroken. Who knew? Word is that he cooperates well during weekly pack walks with other dogs where he’s always getting compliments on how easy he is to work with and walks nicely on leash.

Meet Athena, the highlight of our brand NEW “Pet of the Week”, here on 95.1 KBBY. Thanks to Ventura County Animal Services. After being adopted by a wonderful family at the beginning of summer, Athena was returned to Ventura County Animal Services this month after her family faced a health crisis that prevents them from caring for her the way she deserves. The family was heartbroken to bring Athena back to the shelter. They said she is the best bunny. Athena loved to jump in the lap of the daughter and would fall asleep as her belly was being rubbed. Athena is an ideal house rabbit and deserves a new, permanent home. To meet Athena, please visit VCAS at 600 Aviation Drive in Camarillo and ask for ID #A643427. For details about offsite rabbit adoptions, bunny nail trims, compatibility dates, and adoption counseling hours, please visit VCAS Bunny Brigade on Facebook now! And watch here every week for a new Pet of The Week, from VCAS and 95-1, KBBY.
