One Direction announced Tuesday that they're bringing their Where We Are tour to this side of the Atlantic.
On Tuesday's Good Morning America, 1D announced that the tour — with dates already scheduled for South America, Ireland and the U.K. — will also trek to North America, starting August 1 in Toronto, Canada. Band member Niall Horan said tickets go on sale December 7.
The British boy band stopped by GMA not only to perform their hit songs, including "Best Song Ever," "Story of My Life" and "What Makes You Beautiful," but also to talk about their new album Midnight Memories, which is in stores now. Harry Styles told GMA anchor Robin Roberts that he's proud fans love their new music, some of which they wrote.
"If you ask anyone, putting out music that you've written, that kind of means something to you…it always adds more pressure," Harry admitted. "We were definitely more nervous about it, for sure. And to see that it's being received so well we're proud and we're really happy."
Although the band has achieved worldwide success, selling over 35 million records, One Direction said it's still hard to for them to truly understand everything they've achieved in just three years.
"I think it's such a hard thing to comprehend, really," Louis Tomlinson said. "Me and Zayne [Malik], we sat in the room yesterday and we had a little toast and a celebration, but it's such a hard thing to get your head around. It's just a testament to how amazing our fans are, you know?"
